Hello,
My name is Sarah Freese and I have an MA in English creative writing and an MLIS in library science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I have studied under writers Liam Callanan (The Cloud Atlas and All Saints) and George Makana Clark (The Small Bees’ Honey).
Personally, I have four short stories published in Prick of the Spindle, Monkeybicycle, The Salt River Review, and Word Catalyst Magazine. I have been an assistant editor and creative nonfiction editor for The Cream City Review. Currently, I am a faculty assistant for the undergraduate literary journal at the university where I teach. I am also the current creative nonfiction judge for a literary journal called Notes and Grace Notes. Finally, I lead a creative writing workshop at the university where I teach.
When I am not reading, writing, editing, and judging, I teach English Composition and Research Writing at Colorado Christian University. I also tutor for an online company called SMARTHINKING where we disucss paper organization, content, and fluency.
I am writing because I would love to be able to teach for Lighthouse. I am especially interested in working with teen writers, but I would be happy to teach adult writers as well.
Please let me know if I can provide you with any more information.
Peace,
Sarah Joy
